The SSC GD exam 2026 will be conducted in 13 regional languages, including English and Hindi. Candidates can visit the https://ssc.gov.in website for full details. SSC GD Exam Procedure 2026

The SSC GD Tier 1 examination will consist of a total of 80 questions. The exam will be conducted for 160 marks at the rate of 2 per question. General Knowledge and General Awareness, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Elementary Mathematics, English/Hindi will have 20 questions from each section. The duration of the SSC GD Constable 2026 exam is 60 minutes. There will be negative markings. All the questions will be at the class 10 syllabus level in an objective manner.

A quarter (1/4) mark will be deducted for the incorrect answer. General candidates need to score 30 percent marks, OBC and EWS candidates 25 percent, and SC/ST candidates 20 percent to qualify for the exam. 5 percent marks will be added to the NCC certificate, 3 percent for B and 2 percent for those with A. From the list of candidates who have obtained the qualifying marks, physical tests will be conducted for the candidates at 8 times the total number of vacancies state-wise and department-wise.
